WonderHowTo is a how-to website made up of niche communities called Worlds, with topics ranging from Minecraft to science experiments to Scrabble and everything in-between. Check in every Wednesday evening for a roundup of user-run activities and how-to projects from the communities.

Below are the how-to highlights from the last week, as well as any current activities going on this week in the World communities.

MacGyverisms World

Come join Christian Miller in the MacGyverisms World and help provide the World with ingenious solutions to random problems—on the cheap! Last week, Christian shared many creative MacGyver-friendly tricks, including DIY cookie cutters and a portable camping-style spice shaker.

Secret Tips from the Yumiverse

Magnets are great for posting reminders on the fridge and reading and writing data to hard drives, but there are so many more uses for them! Yumi of Secret Tips from the Yumiverse illustrates 11 weird and wonderful uses for those spare magnets you have laying around. Also from last week, yogurt planters and tips for crying on the spot. Minecraft World

As always, there's plenty to do on our Minecraft server. This week's main activity is the Weekly Challenge, which calls for your most creative upside-down structure (ends 7/01). What structure would you make upside-down?

Also, don't miss this Saturday's Minecraft Workshop (6/30 at 1pm PST), which will be covering how to compose music and cool sounds using note blocks.

There are plenty of activities to participate in on the Minecraft World, as you can see above. But there are also tons of great tutorial guides for Minecraft by admin Austin Sirkin and the community. Check them all out in the links below.

Mad Science World

There's only 3 full days left in Mad Science's giveaway, so make sure to enter before it's too late for a chance to win some Sugru. All you've got to do is comment on the post with your ideas for using Sugru, the magical mold-anything goo.

Also in Mad Science, William gave us two very different tutorials, one focusing on providing power, and the other on killing it. Hit up the links below to see how to keep your phone charged by harnessing the Sun's energy and to see how to protect your guitar amp from string-thrashing noobs.

Smartphones World

Just in case you don't plan on trying out Will's solar-powered cell phone charger out, Byron Schmidt wrote up some great tips for conserving battery power on your iPhone in the Smartphones World. And for all of you Apple fans, he also wrote up a quick post detailing some of the upcoming features of iOS 6.
